Veselé Vánoce | Merry Christmas

We love Christmas. Every year we start playing Christmas music way too early, and we dance to it. Christmas to us is about our family, being together, watching Christmas movies, cooking and eating a lot of good food, and baking cookies.

According to the Czech tradition, we celebrate Christmas on Christmas Eve eating fish and potato salad and after the dinner Ježíšek (baby Jesus) brings the presents.  The huge pro of being a multi-cultural family is getting presents two days in a row…once from Ježíšek and once from Santa! This year’s Christmas was especially exciting as Madlenka (our two year old daughter) was starting to comprehend that something VERY exciting is about to happen.

I hope you all had wonderful holidays. This is what ours were all about…

Sandra - Just wanted to pass along this comment I received from a very artistic & creative friend now living in KC after she saw your blog:

“WOW WOW. She is fantastic. I love it. She seems to have an amazing ability to beautifully capture real life without it seeming staged. Her photography is amazing. I would hire her right away! Love seeing the pictures of Maddie. I can’t believe how grown up she is looking but then she’s almost 3! Tell her I love it and am super impressed. Beautiful work.”ReplyCancel
